Brickzilla!

Louis L. Montante (145 Union St., Clayton NY 13624-1213) read about a model made from cardboard in a 1971 issue of American Aircraft Modeler, and thought that it was interesting. It was called the Dennymite and Tom Abberger designed it.
Louis decided to build a version of this model and incorporate some of his own modifications. He applied the AirCore engine and radio equipment modular concept and incorporated it into the Dennymite design.

The model came out tail heavy, and too much nose weight was required to balance it so Louis slid the equipment module forward 5-1/2 inches and that solved the problem. A K&B .61 engine was used for power. Because of the 7-1/2-pound weight, Louis named the model Brickzilla. It has a wingspan of 72 inches and is 49 inches long.
