AT-6 David Burnett (225 Banbury Pl., Kissimmee FL 34758) built this AT-6 Texan from a Herr Engineering Corp. kit. He modified the fuselage for a more rounded, scale look and added ailerons. Additional features include simulated air intakes, exhaust pipe, wheel spats, and a roll cage. A Norvel Big Mig .074 engine powers David’s model. A Hitec Supreme/Super Slim 7-channel receiver is used, along with a Futaba 8U APS/8UAFS 8-channel computer transmitter. The model’s finish and trim was inspired by Tom Reilly’s full-scale AT-6 Texan that is based at the Warbird Restoration Museum, Kissimmee Municipal Airport, in Florida. |
