Firsts Aaron C. Joseph (13631 W. Indian Rd., Kewadin MI 49648; E-mail: acjoseph@traverse.net) built this 27% Edge 540 from a D&L Designs’ plans and short kit. It is powered by a ZDZ 40 cc gasoline engine and weighs 15 pounds. The model is equipped with a Hitec flight pack, and a Futaba transmitter sends the commands. It took Aaron four months to build it and three weeks to apply the MonoKote covering and vinyl graphics. This is Aaron’s first gas-powered model, his first Giant Scale model, and his first plans-built model. Aaron wrote, “I guess I’m just a glutton for punishment, but it came out great!” |
