Pitts Allen Rice (8912 Escondido Way E., Boca Raton FL 33433; E-mail: CaptAIRice@adelphia.net) bought the kit for this Midwest Pitts Special in 1976 thinking it would be a good first RC trainer. He thought better of that idea and put the kit away for 25 years! Tucker Rice, Allen’s grandson, is shown here with the finally finished product. The model weighs seven pounds and mounts an O.S. .91 Surpass 4-stroke engine. Allen wrote, “The airplane flies beautifully and has plenty of power. I’m glad I waited all these years.” |
