| Open Flying During 2010 Nats (updated 01.25.10)**
Open flying will be permitted during the 2010 Nats on a limited basis. Limitations are based on frequencies available, specific flying site availability, and judgment of the Nats managers. Keep in mind that many events can sometimes last all day, depending upon the number of entries and weather. If you are given permission for open flying, you must do so in an area designated by Nats management. Our primary objective regarding open flying is safety.
All open fliers not competing in the Nats are required to report to Nats Headquarters upon arrival. For safety concerns, permission must be granted from Nats management prior to any open flying. Nats managers have the final say regarding all open flying matters.
**Muncie site will be closed to RC flying beginning July 4th through August 12th. Spread Spectrum flying may be done at site 4 and site 8 if not in use for an official contest. Other areas may be open to RC flying after 5 pm if scheduled events are finished.
